This Delrin shift rod guide bushing replaces the stock shift rod bushing, which is known to be difficult to install, wear prematurely, and provide a loose, imprecise shifter feel.
Engineered for improved durability, this replacement bushing delivers smoother, more precise shifting with a solid, positive feel.
Recommended Additional Upgrades:
Billet Shift Coupler P/N: 16-5110-7 & 16-5106-7
Note: Apply grease to both the inside and outside of the bushing before installation. Attempting to remove the bushing after installation may damage or break it.
Fits: Type 2 Bus 1966-1973 *Chassis number 216 028 112 marks the mid-production changeover point for the 1966 VW Type 2 Transporter (Split Screen Bus). After this change, the Bus became the “Bay Window” style.
